Youth Advisory Commission (YAC)

Through the passage of a PDF City Council Resolution, the City of Sealy has spearheaded the creation of the Sealy Youth Advisory Commission (YAC). This commission is a liaison between the youth of Sealy and the City Council. Through service and environmental projects and social events, YAC promotes civic responsibility and safety among Sealy youth.

What does YAC do?
YAC participates in:
Community events
Volunteer projects

City Council meetings
City-wide clean-up events
You decide!

Who can join YAC?
Any student, 7th through 12th grade, who resides in the Sealy Independent School District, can participate.

The Youth Advisory Commission is made up of a Board and a Resource Committee. The Board consists of 12 students and two adult advisors. The Resource Committee is made up of an unlimited number of 7th through 12th graders and a group of adult advisors.
