The City contracts with the Austin County Elections Office to administer the election.

*Voters may vote at any of the locations during early voting and election day

  • April 04, 2024 - Last day to register to vote for May 04 General Election

Campaign Finance Reports

In compliance with H.B. 2626 (88th Legislature), relating to the availability of certain reports of political contributions and expenditures, these reports will be available on this page for five (5) years from the date of filing. The redactions on the reports are in compliance with the bill specifications, and are only received by the Local Filing Authority (City Secretary). Any questions or complaints related to the content in the reports or the failure to submit reports should be directed to the Texas Ethics Commission, who is the regulatory authority for campaign finance reports.

Requirements & Deadline for Filing for Candidacy of Each Elected City Office

In order to qualify to hold an elected position on the Sealy City Council, a candidate must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Be 21 years of age or older on the first day of term to be filled at the election
  • Have resided continuously within the city limits of Sealy for at least 12 months preceding election day
  • Be a registered voter in the territory to be elected from at the time of filing for a place on the ballot.
  • Have not been finally convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned or had full rights of citizenship restored by other official action
  • Have not been determined mentally incompetent by final judgment of a court
