The following information explains the specific services Texas Disposal Services (TDS) provides to residents of the City of Sealy.
Trash Service
Residents receive once-a-week trash collection service and are supplied with a 96-gallon wheeled cart with a black lid. Trash must be contained within the cart, and one (1) additional 30-gallon bag of household trash is also allowed next to the cart. The additional 30 gallon bag may not contain lawn clippings, leaves or branches. Carts must be placed within five (5) feet of the curb in plain view by 7:00 AM of the particular pick-up day. Residents' particular pick-up days are indicated on the color-coded city map shown below. Please note that valuable items, such as lawn chairs, bicycles, toys, etc., should not be placed near trash containers as Texas Disposal Systems and the City of Sealy cannot be responsible for their disappearance.
Residential Recycling & Trash Service
Recycling Week
All recycling should be contained within the supplied 96-gallon wheeled cart with the tan lid. Carts must be placed within five (5) feet of the curb in plain view by 7:00 AM of the particular pick-up day. Recycling services are provided on Tuesday of every other week. The recycling week is dependent on the area of town in which residents live. Basically, residents living west of State Highway 36 and south of Columbus Road (FM 1094) are in the "tan" area of town. Everyone else is in the "green" area of town. (See the map below.) The recycling week is shown in color-coded weeks on the service calendar available on the TDS website at www.texasdisposal.com/recycling. In addition, the website not only explains what items are recyclable but also allows users to save/print out PDF versions of the recyclable materials poster and the current recycling service calendar.

Bulky Trash
Bulky trash collection occurs on each resident's last pick-up day of every month. Bulky trash is considered anything that will not fit in the cart. For example, this includes, but is not limited to, sofas, washers, dryers, mattresses, chairs, etc. Items that are NOT considered as part of the bulky collection are household waste (additional trash), yard waste, and construction debris. This service is limited to three (3) cubic yards per pick-up each month. TDS will not accept hazardous materials, such as paints, chemicals, dead animals, sheet glass or fiberglass insulation. TDS will also not collect items like dirt, concrete, or construction material. Other limitations may exist.

Missed Pick-up
If your service is missed for any reason, please call the City of Sealy at (979) 885-3511 or TDS' Customer Care Department at (800) 375-8375 within 24 hours of the missed pick-up. This will give us the best opportunity to take appropriate action and resolve any issues.
Holidays
Currently, Texas Disposal Systems is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. If your service will be affected by a holiday closure, you will be notified of the service day for that holiday week.
