There are several levels of alerts sent by the City which you voluntarily opt-in to receive.

There you will register by entering your contact information as a resident and/or business and elect which type of City services outreach notifications you are interested in receiving alerts for.

Signing up with Austin County Emergency Management helps emergency management directors take the time and guesswork out of keeping communities informed about major events and severe weather conditions, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and flash floods. These notifications can be received by registering with Regroup.

This Web Site
This web site is equipped with two types of alert notifications. When activated for critical items, a red bar will appear at the top of every page of our web site to alert you for critical items. Non-critical items appear on our home page in a popup box at the lower right-hand corner of your desktop screen or at the bottom of your mobile phone or tablet screen.
